Bio

Diane Snyder

I practice exclusively Family Law in Collin County, Texas. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and physics and my law degree from Southern Methodist University. A sole practitioner, I have always practiced law in Dallas and Collin counties, but have restricted my practice to Collin County after moving my home and office to McKinney, Texas in 2011. Prior to my move to McKinney, my office was in Preston Center in the Park Cities in Dallas for more than 28 years.

I was licensed to practice law in 1977, certified as a specialist in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 1983, completed training in mediation in 1993 and in collaborative law within one year of the date collaborative law became a part of the statutes of the State of Texas. I have been named a Texas Monthly magazine “Super Lawyer” and have been rated by my peers as having the highest legal ability and ethical standards (AV rated). I have also been named a Dallas “Preeminent Woman Lawyer” by Martindale-Hubbell.

I am a member of the Collin and Dallas Bar Associations; Collin and Dallas Family Law Sections; State Bar of Texas; Family Law Section and Collaborative Law Section of the State Bar of Texas; member and past president of the Dallas Women Lawyers Association; member Family Law Foundation; Texas Association of Family Law Specialists; College of the State Bar of Texas; and Master, Annette Stewart Inns of Court. I have been a member of multiple civic organizations and was on the Advisory Board of the YWCA for 15 years.
